The Goldstone Apple Valley Radio Telescope (GAVRT) is 2 program created by NASA's Deep Space Network - or DSN. DSN is an international network of antennas that supports spacecraft missions for the exploration of the solar system and the universe. GAVRT teaches students to use radio astronomy to control a huge antenna and collect science data from objects in the universe. GAVRT trains teachers, provides curriculum, and supports classroom implementation.
